FAQS

counseling and coaching for individuals and couples in the state of Minnesota.

What is the difference between therapy and coaching?

Therapy is a clinical mental health service provided by a licensed professional and focuses on emotional healing, mental health concerns, and relational patterns. Coaching is non-clinical and focuses on insight, decision-making, and practical support related to home and environment.

Can I do both therapy and coaching at the same time?

No. To maintain ethical clarity and professional boundaries, clients engage in either psychotherapy or coaching at a given time.

Is coaching a form of therapy?

No. Coaching is not psychotherapy and does not diagnose or treat mental health conditions. It is focused on wellness, reflection, and practical support.

Do you offer couples therapy?

Yes. I offer couples therapy grounded in a relational, attachment-informed approach.

How do I know which service is right for me?

If you are seeking support for emotional distress, mental health concerns, or relationship challenges, therapy may be appropriate. If you are interested in exploring how your home or space affects your well-being and decision-making, coaching may be a better fit. We can discuss this during an initial consultation.
