Getting Started

counseling for individuals and couples in the state of Minnesota. Coaching services are available to U.S. residents

Beginning the Process

Reaching out for support—whether for therapy or coaching—can feel tender. You
don’t need to have everything figured out before contacting me. We’ll take the first steps together.

At Thistle and Thrive, my goal is to offer a grounded, compassionate starting point where your questions are welcome and your story is respected. I offer two distinct services under one practice:

Home & Wellness Coaching

02

Psychotherapy

01

Therapy is a clinical mental health service focused on emotional healing, relational patterns, and psychological well-being. Psychotherapy is provided by a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker (LICSW) in Minnesota and may be eligible for insurance coverage.

Coaching is a non-clinical, wellness-oriented service focused on how your physical environment supports your life and well-being. Coaching is private pay only and is not psychotherapy.
If you’re unsure which service is the best fit, we can talk through this during an initial consultation.

I offer a brief initial phone consultation to:

  • Answer your questions
  • Clarify which service is appropriate
  • Discuss availability, rates, and insurance
  • Ensure the fit feels right for both of us

This conversation is collaborative and pressure-free. You are not committing to ongoing services by scheduling a consultation.

If we decide to move forward:
  • We will clearly identify whether you are engaging in therapy or coaching
  • We will review informed consent, fees, and policies
  • Sessions will be scheduled at a pace that supports your needs and  capacity

To maintain ethical clarity, clients engage in either psychotherapy or coaching,
not both simultaneously.
